History of Zero & New Math Method

Standard

Zero was invented in India by Indian mathematicians dating as early as 5th century. They widely used it in calculations, astronomy and astrology. Zero was spread by Arabians to the Europe and there on it was spread all over. Before this, all Europeans used roman numerical which were difficult to calculate on as they were in the form of Symbols, lengthy and had limits.

Jocks vs. Nerds…..I love this one!

Standard

The answer to the eternal question… Is it better to be a jock or a nerd? :

Michael Jordan made over $300,000 a game. That equals $10,000 a minute, at an average of 30 minutes per game.

With $40 million in endorsements, he made $178,100 a day, working or not.
If he sleeps 7 hours a night, he makes $52,000 every night while visions of sugarplums dance in his head.
If he goes to see a movie, it will cost him $9.50, but he’ll make
$18,550 while he’s there.
If he decides to have a 5 minute egg, he’ll make $618 while boiling it.
He makes $7,415/hr more than minimum wage.

He’d make $3,710 while watching each episode of Friends.
If he wanted to save up for a new Acura SLX (about $90,000) it would take him a whole 12 hours.
If someone were to hand him his salary and endorsement money, they would have to do it at the rate of $2.00 every second.

He’d probably pay around $200 for a nice round of golf, but will be reimbursed around $30,000 during that round.
Assuming he puts the federal maximum of 15% of his income into a tax deferred account (401k), he will hit the federal cap of $9500 at 8:30 a.m. on January 1st.

If you were given a penny for every 10 dollars he made, you’d be living comfortably at $65,000 a year.

He’d make about $19.60 while watching the 100 meter dash in the Olympics.
He’d make about $15,600 during the Boston Marathon.

While the common person is spending about $20 for a meal in his trendy Chicago restaurant, he’d pull in about $5600.
In his last year, he made more than twice as much as all U.S.
past presidents for all of their terms combined.

If Jordan saves 100% of his income for the next 250 years, he’ll still have less than Bill Gates has today.
Game over.

Nerds win.

Be Yourself, Everyone Else Is Already Taken

Standard

It’s quite possibly the most commonly used phrase in the history of advice: Be yourself. But it’s such a vague adage. What do they really mean when they tell you to be yourself? And is it really as easy as it sounds? Steps to Find yourself. You can’t be yourself if you don’t know, understand, and accept yourself first.

Stop caring about how people perceive you. The fact is, it really doesn’t matter. It’s impossible to be yourself when you’re caught up in wondering “Do they think I’m funny? Does he think I’m fat? Does she think I’m stupid?” To be yourself, you’ve got to let go of these concerns and just let your behavior flow, with only your consideration of others as a filter—not their consideration of you.

Be honest and open. What have you got to hide? You’re an imperfect, growing, learning human being. If you feel ashamed or insecure about any aspect of yourself —and you feel you have to hide those parts of you, whether physically or emotionally —then you have to come to terms with that and learn to convert your so-called flaws into individualistic quirks. Relax. Stop worrying about the worst that could happen, especially in social situations. So what if you fall flat on your face? Or get spinach stuck in your teeth? Learn to laugh at yourself both when it happens and afterwards. Turn it into a funny story that you can share with others. It lets them know that you’re not perfect and makes you feel more at ease, too. Develop and express your individuality. Whether it’s your sense of style, or even your manner of speaking, if your preferred way of doing something strays from the mainstream, then be proud of it. Have a Productive Day. Accept that some days you’re the pigeon, and that some days, you’re the statue. People might raise eyebrows and even make fun, but as long as you can shrug and say “Hey, that’s just me” and leave it at that, people will ultimately respect you for it, and you’ll respect yourself.

There’s a difference between being yourself and being inappropriately unrestrained. You might have your opinions, dreams, and preferences, but that doesn’t mean you have to disrespect others by forcing them to acknowledge your views. If fads or trends strike your fancy, don’t avoid them! Being yourself is all about reflecting who you are inside in what you do, and what you like is what you like, no matter how trendy it is (or not trendy, for that matter)! As the famous song goes, “Life’s not worth a damn until you can say, I am what I am” – when you can sincerely say it, you will know that you can be yourself.

Choose Your Attitude

Standard

Is the glass half full or half empty? Is the responsibility, a privilege or a duty? Is the help we’ve been asked to give, an opportunity or an obligation? Do we “get” to do it, or do we “have” to do it? Attitude is everything and luckily for us our attitudes are a matter of choice. We can pick the attitudes we want much as we pick our out clothes or hairstyles. Nothing or no one in the past or present can dictate our attitudes. No one else deserves credit or blame for how we choose to process reality. For better or worse, our attitudes are ours alone. We all have the same world to respond to. What we practice, we become. If we practice looking at each day as a new adventure, so it will be.

Open your truly eyes…

Standard

If you look into the mirror and open your eyes
you’ll see each day your smile dies
cause with each day you begin to see
that life isn’t what its meant to be

we’re killing and cheating, lying and stealing
cursing, drinking, smoking, beating
if this was what life was intended to be
we’d all have black wings on the back of thee

If life were meant to be this way
the world would be black and the trees wouldn’t sway
the wind would not caress our cheeks
we wouldn’t have duties throughout each week

but here we are, killing our souls
partying, mating, diminishing what’s whole
we have to much fun poisoning our skins
although we understand its the only one we live in

maybe if we could open our eyes
so many innocent people wouldn’t die
drunk driving, suicide, all these tragedies
should be enough for us to see

if we open our eyes to all these facts
look back and see all the wrong chosen paths
we can make our life what its meant to be
when you can look in the mirror and be happy

Internet Addiction Facts: Are you addicted to your online connection? Are you one of those crazy folks that can’t wait to read the email with your morning coffee? Doctors are calling it serious addiction combined with: Cybersexual Addiction, Computer Addiction and Cyber-Relational Addiction. They even managed to stamp the cool names for it, like Internet Addictive Disorder (IAD) or the Internet Overuse Syndrome (IOS). Based on the latest research and simple human reasoning. Internet addiction should not be labeled as addiction like gambling or drug addiction. There should be a strict line that distances other addictions from the “internet addiction”. Staying in touch with your friends or watching funny YouTube videos is not a destructive behavior which usually characterizes major addictions. If you gamble on the internet then you are not addicted to the internet, but online gambling. Internet is a wonderful tool, but like everything else in this Universe there is the sunny side and the dark side of the pyramid of life. Stay Positive!

MySpace Facts: MySpace was founded by former Friendster members Chris Dewolfe and Tom Anderson in 2003. They saw opportunity to beat Friendster with more options and less restrictions for social network users. MySpace was purchased in 2005 for $580 million by Rupert Murdoch creator of a media empire that includes 20th Century Fox and the Fox television stations. MySpace has more than 40 billion page views a month. Google paid $900 million to be MySpace’s search provider. MySpace runs on Microsoft .NET Framework, operating under Windows 2003 server and applications written in C# for ASP.NET.

History of Amazon.com: Jeff Bezos coined the term Amazon.com from the earlier name Cadabra.com. It was the excellent way to present large volume online bookstore. But did he have hidden intentions? It is hard to believe but in the early Internet days, when Yahoo was dominant search engine, results on one page were listed alphabetically. Amazon would always appear above its competition for a specific keywords. This could be a breaking point for Jeff to expand and became what it is today.

What is Google?: Google, the Internet search company founded in September 1998. by Larry Page & Sergey Brin, got it’s name from the word Googol, which represents number 1 followed with hundred zeros after it.

What is Yahoo?: Yahoo the complex internet organism has complicated name. Word “Yahoo” is shortcut for “Yet Another Hierarchical Officious Oracle”. It was coined by PhD candidates at Stanford University: David Filo and Jerry Yang.

Magick & Responsibilty

Standard

Personal gain is not a factor, when it is done AT NO ONE ELSE’S Expense. What you can create through your own imagination & effort, is perfectly fine. If your personal gain just happens to enrich other people at the same time, that’s even better. Two things to keep in mind are Intent, and the method of Manefestation. There are always consequences in action. That’s Cause & Effect. Karma is neither a Reward, nor a Punishment. It is merely the results of action, and has no more emotional import than a cue ball feels when you do a bank shot to sink the eight ball.
The trick is to figure out what the results most likely will be in advance… not just personally, but universally. That’s a skill which can be developed through careful observation. We gravitate conditions to us in the Material World, that match what is going on inside us. That’s why the Ancients taught this lesson : Know Thyself! The better you know yourself, the more understanding you will have about the true nature of your own appetites & desires. Rid yourself of that which is unworthy within yourself, and circumstances in the Material World, will alter themselves accordingly.
Considering the barbaric past of the human species, can there be any question as to why circumstances on this planet are, shall we say, less than harmonious? Now of course, since we are all co-creators of the conditions that prevail on Earth, none of us is entirely responsible for what is going on in the world, AND none of us is entirely innocent either. We have to take responsibility for that, before we can move on.

March is here Pisces-Aries…

Standard

Pisces is the mutable water sign and very much exist in their own universe, tuned into the emotional, receptive qualities of life that most of us cannot see, touch nor feel. In love they are dream filled and romantic, full of enchanted visions and hopeful fantasies. They’re eager to share their thoughts and reveries when they feel secure, understood and appreciated. Of all the signs Pisces needs the most encouragement to feel true within themselves and to learn the validity of their own thoughts and needs. They make the most delightful companions and are generally soft, gentle and easy going, especially if they have a role model to look up to within the relationship. This is a delicate balance that Pisces learns to control as they go through life as their projections onto their mate can be helpful if it encourages them to motivate their own lives and resources but can turn into tenacious co-dependency if the Pisces refuses to embrace their own lives, needs and thoughts. They can be confusing creatures never able to define their roles within the relationship and constantly turning to sources outside of the union for definition and explanation. This can slowly erode the bond between the lovers/partners as the partner. A Pisces encouraged to find and embrace their answers within themselves and one who has learned to trust their own thoughts, feelings and perceptions make one of the most loving, sensual and devoted mates their is.

Pisces Sexuality: Pisces sexuality is always wrapped around those inner worlds they exist in and becomes an emotional experience that can take them on voyages into ecstasy and passion. But because they do exist within this world where things are nebulous, mystical and emotion oriented if they are projecting outwards to find validity of what they are seeing and feeling inside rather than combining the experience of the physical intimacy with the thoughts and dreams they can feel disappointed…or saddened. If they’ve learned to simply using what is inside to inspire their participation in the literal reality based world they can take their lover on their enchanted voyages with them…and create an exciting and enchanting sexual companionship.

The long term story: There is a certain amount of inner strength combined with outer strength that is needed when involved long term with a Pisces, as they must learn to become their own sources of joy, inspiration and answers. A weak mate who goes along with every Piscean whim or fantasy is as destructive as a mate who cannot see the validity of those things they are experiencing internally. One can create a union with no solidity or reality underneath of it and the other can cause the Pisces to further doubt their own truth and inner strength. At the best the Pisces brings to the relationship a touch of all that is universal and mysterious. They are dreamy, poetic and romance filled beings who make life a true sojourn through the world of feelings and passions. At worst they release any semblance of inner belief and become attached to the partner or other form of projection in an attempt to capture outside…what goes on inside.

Positive Traits in Love: Playful, friendly, spontaneous, open minded, caring, devoted, liberal, understanding, tolerant, benevolent.

Negative traits: Erratic, undependable, self oriented, cold, aloof, mean, self centered, unable to commit, judgmental, fickle.

What a Pisces likes: Romance, Feeling appreciated, Stability, Feeling needed, Mystical settings/enchantment, Being encouraged to dream, Sharing thoughts/dreams, Having their input valued, A role model, Feeling loved.

What a Pisces Dislikes: Feeling vulnerable, Feeling alone/unloved, Having no goals to project towards, Feeling invalidated, Being ignored, Crude/harsh behavior, Noisy scenes/displays, Having no dreams, Having no sense of structure.

Pisces Love Keywords: Mystical, enchanting, emotional, loving, devoted, reverent, creative, confused, depressed, irresponsible, goal-less, lack of motivation or push, co-dependency issues.

Aries

When Arians want to, they can be very charming and hard to resist by the opposite sex. People born under the Aries sign need to harness their powerful energies, or even rein them in a little, so those with whom they would like to spend time are not overwhelmed by their advances.

In a relationship, Arians assume the role of motivator and want to be control. The Aries driving force compels those born under its influence to become the leading light in any co-operative venture. Sometimes it seems they want to defeat their partners, not love them.

Arians are enthusiastic and adventurous lovers. They will always want to push to take their lovemaking to new plateaus. Their partners can sometimes be overwhelmed by this spirited approach. Arians love to experiment and to take things to the limit, so, roll over Kama Sutra, the Arian lover is re-writing it all from scratch!

An Aries sexuality is driven, powerful and almost a feat of showmanship when they are truly captivated. Since Aries tend to be action/goal oriented sex can become a series of higher plateaus involving anything their fertile imaginations can conjure up. Aries are the zodiacs show-offs and the bedroom isn’t excluded from their dramatic and captivating ability to get a partners undivided attention. The more appreciated they feel the more they invest in their lovemaking and private boundaries exist only to give an Aries something to leap over. Marathons of passion, spontaneous liaisons in the most unexpected places and inexhaustible stamina are all part of the Aries basic sexual make-up.

Lots of pampering and a lot of attention is needed with an Aries lover as they thrive on feeling they are number one in your life. They love to do the initial chasing and are usually not attracted to being chased but once their heart is given you can’t ever over-do your displays of affection. While they can be jealous and possessive you cannot show the same qualities and any kind of clinging is a sure fire way to drive them into new pastures. Under all the Aries bravado and show is actually a rather innocent child who simply wants to explore the wonderful world around them and to be appreciated.
